Cyclopedia of Biblical, Theological and Ecclesiastical Literature

a French ecclesiastic, was born at Sommibres, near Nismes, in 1765. He was educated at Brienne, and was vicar at St. Julien-du-Saut, near Sens, until 1792, when he went to Paris, married, and turned his attention to civil affairs.
