Cola, Gennaro Di

Cyclopedia of Biblical, Theological and Ecclesiastical Literature

an old Neapolitan painter, was born in 1320, and studied under Maestro Simone. The principal works of this artist are the altar-piece in Santa Maria, Naples, representing the Virgin and Dead Christ, with angels holding the instruments of the passion; A Magdalene in the chapel of the same church; The Nativity and The Annunciation, in the tribune of San Giovanni.
