a Protestant Episcopal clergy-man, resided, in 1857, in Madison, Georgia, while yet a deacon, and subsequently, in 1859, became rector in that place of the Church of the Advent. In 1861 he was assistant minister of Christ Church, Savannah, a position in which he remained until 1868, when he became rector of the Church of the Redeemer, Shelbyville, Tennesee; in 1870 was rector of St. Mark's Church, Brunswick, Georgia; in 1872 officiated in Christ Church; Savannah; and in 1873 became rector of Trinity Church, Demopolis, Alabama.
