Collop-Monday
Cyclopedia of Biblical, Theological and Ecclesiastical Literature
is a name for the Monday after Quinquagesima Sunday; so called because on that day the faithful began to leave off the use of flesh-meat — "collop" being a name descriptive of a piece of meat or flesh.
