an English divine, was born in Lancashire in 1633, and was educated at and became a fellow of Brazenose College, Oxford. He became a preacher, afterwards a physician, and died in 1690. His published works are, The Honors of the Lords Spiritual Asserted (1681): The Annals of King James I and King Charles I (eod.). See Chalmers, Biog. Dict. s.v.; Allibone, Dict. of Brit. and Amer.
