a Methodist Episcopal minister, was born in Augusta Co., Va., Oct. 18,1769; converted in 1786; entered the Baltimore Conference in 1804; and in 1806, on account of ulcerated throat, located and settled in Logan Co., Ky. In June, 1821, he re-entered the itinerancy in the Kentucky Conference, but died on the 5th of the ensuing October. "But his work was done, his temporalities well adjusted, his slaves emancipated, and his sun went down without a cloud." During his long location his labors were "very extensive and useful."
