Saphati'as (Σαφατίας v.r. Σοφοτίας ), and Sa'pheth (Σαφέθ v.r. Σαφυθί, Σαφυϊ v ), Greek forms (respectively 1 Esdras 5:9; 1 Esdras 8:34; 1 Esdras 5:33) of the name SHEPHATIAH (See SHEPHATIAH) (q.v.) in the corresponding Heb. lists (respectively Ezra 2:4; Ezra 8:8; and Ezra 2:57).
