Cyclopedia of Biblical, Theological and Ecclesiastical Literature
(Heb. Shiphi', שַׁפְעַי , my abundance, or abundant; Sept. Σαφα ‹ v.r. Σεφείν and Σαφάλ ), the son of Allon and father of Ziza, which last was a chief Simeonite in the time of Hezekiah (1 Chronicles 4:37). B.C. ante 726.
