Tridentine
Cyclopedia of Biblical, Theological and Ecclesiastical Literature
(of or belonging to Trent). The term is applied to the celebrated council of the 16th century, and to that part of the Church Universal which accepts the decrees and canons of the Council of Trent (q.v.).
