מוֹרֶשֶׁת גַּת (“the possession of the Gittites”), [Moresheth-gath], Micah 1:14 pr.n. of a town near Eleutheropolis, where Micah the prophet was born. The Gent. noun is מוֹרַשְׁתִּי [Morasthite], Micah 1:1; Jeremiah 26:16.
