That say. Some codices, with Aramaean, Septuagint, Syriac, and Vulgate, read "Who are saying to me". Compare Psalms 40:15 .

Aha, aha. Figure of speech Epizeuxis. App-6 .

Verse 4

rejoice. Put by Figure of speech Metonymy (of the Subject), for "have cause to rejoice", &c.

Verse 5

poor = wretched, or oppressed. Hebrew. 'anah. See note on Proverbs 6:11 .
