Jeremiah 37:21 So the king sent Jehudi to fetch the roll: and he took it out of Elishama the scribe's chamber. And Jehudi read it in the ears of the king, and in the ears of all the princes which stood beside the king.
Jeremiah 37:21 Comments - When Jerusalem was destroyed and starvation was rampant (Lamentations 2:20; Lamentations 4:10 shows that cannibalism was practiced), Jeremiah was provided for so that he lived. This was God’s hand in his life (Psalms 37:25).
Lamentations 2:20, “Behold, O LORD, and consider to whom thou hast done this. Shall the women eat their fruit, and children of a span long? shall the priest and the prophet be slain in the sanctuary of the Lord?”
Lamentations 4:10, “The hands of the pitiful women have sodden their own children: they were their meat in the destruction of the daughter of my people.”
Psalms 37:25, “I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.”
