Ephesians 4:11-16
The full-grown man is the one who has taken in and made a part of himself the things that go to build up a man. One grows by the process of assimilation. We hear the truth. God has his appointed ones to build us up by teaching. But many remain babes in Christ, or very little children, because obedience does not follow the teaching. Jesus, forgive us: help us to do as well as to hear.
