American Tract Society Bible Dictionary
Or rather, mirrors, were anciently made of metal, chiefly copper, Exodus 38:8; Job 37:18 , melted and cast in a circular form, highly polished, and attached to an ornamental handle. Similar mirrors have been found in the ruins of ancient Egypt.
