Fausset's Bible Dictionary
A city in the mountains of Judah (Joshua 15:50). Derived from Ainain, "the two springs," perhaps at Khirbet el Jif, near Khirbet el Dilbeh, the site of Achsah's upper and lower springs (Conder, Pal. Expl.).
