Holman Bible Dictionary
(ay i' uh) Personal name imitating the cry of a hawk, then meaning, “hawk.” 1. A son of Zibeon among the clans of Edom descended from Esau (Genesis 36:24 ). 2 . The father of Rizpah, Saul's concubine (2 Samuel 3:7 ) and grandfather of Miphibosheth (2 Samuel 21:8 ).
