Holman Bible Dictionary
(uh rihd' ay i) Persian personal name, perhaps meaning, “delight of Hari” (a god). Son of Haman, Esther, and the Jews' archenemy. He died as the Jews reversed Haman's scheme and gained revenge (Esther 9:9 ).
