Besor
Holman Bible Dictionary
(bee' ssawr) Place name perhaps meaning, “wadi of the good news.” Brook where David left 200 weary soldiers while he and the remaining 400 pursued the Amalekites after they had burned Ziklag and captured David's wives (1 Samuel 30:9-10 ). David rewarded those who stayed as well as those who fought (1 Samuel 30:21-24 ). The Besor is probably wadi Ghazzeh about fifteen miles south of Ziklag.
