Blemish
Holman Bible Dictionary
A condition that disqualifies an animal as a sacrifice (Leviticus 22:17-25 ) or a man from priestly service (Leviticus 21:17-24 ). In the New Testament, Christ is the perfect sacrifice (without blemish, Hebrews 9:14; 1 Peter 1:19 ) intended to sanctify the church and remove all its blemishes (Ephesians 5:27 ). The children of God are commanded to live lives without blemishes (Philippians 2:15; 2 Peter 3:14 ).
