Chios
Holman Bible Dictionary
(chi' uhss) Island with city of same name. Paul stopped here while returning from third missionary journey (Acts 20:15 ). The Greek poet Homer supposedly came from Chios. It lies in the Aegean Sea five miles off the coast of Asia Minor. It is now called Scio.
