Elealeh
Holman Bible Dictionary
(ehl ih ay leh) Moabite place name meaning, “God went up” or “high ground.” Town that tribe of Reuben requested from Moses and strengthened (Numbers 32:3 ,Numbers 32:3,32:37 ). Isaiah announced judgment on the town (Isaiah 15:4; Isaiah 16:9; compare Jeremiah 48:34 ). It is modern el-Al, a mile north of Heshbon in a fertile plain.
