Eliam
Holman Bible Dictionary
(ih li' am) Personal name meaning, “God is an uncle or relative” or “God of the people.” 1. Father of Bathsheba (2 Samuel 11:3 ). The two parts of his name are reversed in 1 Chronicles 3:5 , becoming Ammiel. 2. A leading warrior under David (2 Samuel 23:34 ). The related list in 1 Chronicles 11:1 does not have Eliam but in a similar position has Ahijah (“my brother is Yahweh”).
