Holman Bible Dictionary
(ehl toh' lad) Place name meaning, “plea for a child.” Village in tribal territory of Judah (Joshua 15:30 ), given to tribe of Simeon (Joshua 19:4 ). 1 Chronicles 4:29 apparently abbreviates it as Tolad. Its location is not known.
