Holman Bible Dictionary
(En duhr) Place name meaning, “spring of Dor, that is, “spring of settlement.” 1. Home of witch who brought up Samuel from the grave (1 Samuel 28:7 ). Psalm 83:10 says Jabin died there. Compare Judges 4-5 . It is modern khirbet Safsafe, three miles south of Mount Tabor. 2. City tribe of Manasseh claimed but could not conquer (Joshua 17:11; compare Judges 1:27 ).
