Holman Bible Dictionary

(gihb' bahr) Personal name meaning, “young, powerful man.” A man, ninety-five of whose descendants returned from Babylonian captivity with Zerubbabel in 537 B.C. (Ezra 2:20 ). The corresponding list in Nehemiah 7:25 has Gibeon. The correct reading cannot be determined.
