Gimzo
Holman Bible Dictionary
(gihm' zoh) Place name of uncertain meaning. Town in the Shephelah or valley of Judah which the Philistines captured from King Ahaz of Judah (735-715 B.C.), leading him to ask Assyria for help and pay tribute to them (2 Chronicles 28:18 ). It is located at Gimzu, about four miles east of Ramleh and three miles southeast of Lod.
