Hide of goats desert dwellers used for clothing (Hebrews 11:37 ) and for containers for water (Genesis 21:14 ) and wine (Joshua 9:4 ). In Genesis 27:16 Rachel placed goatskin on Jacob's neck and arms as part of the plan to deceive Isaac into giving his blessing. See Animals in the Bible.
