Haeleph
Holman Bible Dictionary
(ha ee' lehf) Place name meaning, “the ox.” KJV reads the initial “h” as the Hebrew definite article and thus has “Eleph.” Some interpreters combine the preceding town name in Joshua 18:28 to read, “Zelah Haeleph” as one town, following early Greek manuscript evidence. Town in tribal territory of Benjamin ( Joshua 18:28 ). The location is not known. See Zelah .
