Helam
Holman Bible Dictionary
(hee' luhm) Place name meaning “their army.” The earliest Greek translation of Ezekiel 47:16 apparently locates it between Damascus and Hamath in Syria. 1 Maccabees 5:26 seems to indicate a place in the northern part of the territory east of the Jordan. Helam is the region, rather than a city, where David defeated the army of Hadadezer and thus gained control of Syria ( 2 Samuel 10:15-19 ).
