Hood
Holman Bible Dictionary
KJV term for one of the items of finery worn by the elite women of Jerusalem (Isaiah 3:23 ). Modern translations render the underlying Hebrew as scarf (TEV), tiara (NIV), or turban (NAS, NRSV, REB). It represented a fine Oriental head covering.
