Holman Bible Dictionary
(huhl' duh) Personal name meaning, “mole.” Prophetess, the wife of Shallum (2 Kings 22:14 ). She was consulted after Josiah the king of Judah saw a copy of the Book of the Law found as preparations were being made to restore the Temple. She prophesied judgment for the nation but a peaceful death for Josiah the king. See Josiah .
