Ithrite
Holman Bible Dictionary
(ihth' rite) Clan name meaning, “of Jether.” Descendants of Jether or Jethro (Exodus 4:18 ) or a clan whose home was Kiriath-jearim (1 Chronicles 2:53 ). The latter may have been Hivites (compare Joshua 9:7 ,Joshua 9:7,9:17 ). Two of David's valiant “Thirty” warriors were Ithrites (2 Samuel 23:38 ).
