(jee hihz ki' uh) Personal name meaning, “Yahweh strengthens.” 1. Variant Hebrew spelling of Hezekiah (2 Kings 20:10; Isaiah 1:1; 1 Chronicles 4:41; 2 Chronicles 28:27-33:3 ). 2 . Man of tribe of Ephraim who prevented people of Israel from bringing war prisoners from Judah into the city after Pekah of Israel defeated Ahaz of Judah about 733 B.C. (2 Chronicles 28:12 ).
