Holman Bible Dictionary
(joh' uh haz) A short form of Jehoahaz meaning, “Yahweh grasped.” 1. See Jehoahaz (2Kings 2 Chronicles 14:1; 2 Chronicles 36:1-4 ). 2 . Father of a scribe under Hezekiah about 715 B.C. (2 Chronicles 34:8 ).
