Holman Bible Dictionary

(jaht' buh) Place name meaning, “it is good.” Home of Meshullemeth, the queen mother of King Amon of Judah about 642-640 B.C. (2 Kings 21:19 ). It was located at khirbet Gefat about nine miles north of Nazareth. Others would identify it with the closely related Hebrew name Jotbathah (Numbers 33:34 ) and locate it at et-Taba twenty miles north of Akaba. See Jotbathah; Meshullemeth .
