Kor
Holman Bible Dictionary
(kohr) Dry measure equal to a homer or to about 6.3 imperial bushels, though estimates vary greatly. Those using the metric system have estimated a kor at between 220,450 liters. It apparently represented the load a donkey could carry on its back. Compare 1 Kings 4:22; 1 Kings 5:11; 2 Chronicles 2:9; 2 Chronicles 27:5; Ezekiel 45:14 . The measure in Luke 16:7 apparently represents a Greek transliteration of the Hebrew kor . See Weights and Measures .
