Holman Bible Dictionary
(may' hath) Personal name meaning, “tough.” 1. Levite of the Kohathite clan (1 Chronicles 6:35 ). 2 . Levite assisting in Hezekiah's reforms (2 Chronicles 29:12; 2 Chronicles 31:13 ). Both Mahaths are perhaps the same individual. The second may be the Ahimoth of 1 Chronicles 6:25 .
