Holman Bible Dictionary
(may trehd) Personal name possibly meaning, “spear.” The Hebrew text understands Matred to be the mother of Mehetabel (Genesis 36:39; 1 Chronicles 1:50 ). The earliest Greek and standard Latin translations take Matred to be Mehetabel's father.
