Mizraim
Holman Bible Dictionary
(mihz' ray ihm) Hebrew word for Egypt (Genesis 12:10; Genesis 13:10; Genesis 25:18 ). 1 . Son of Ham (Genesis 10:6 ,Genesis 10:6,10:13 ). 3 . The Mushri, a people of Cilicia in southeastern Asia Minor (possibly 1 Kings 10:28; 2 Kings 7:6; 2 Chronicles 1:16-17 TEV; NIV note). Mushri derives from the Assyrian word for “march” and possibly designates any people living outside their borders. Some scholars revocalize the Hebrew consonantal text to read Mushri; but they have no textual evidence for this. See Egypt .
