Naioth
Holman Bible Dictionary
(nay' ahth) Place name meaning, “dwelling.” The name refers either to a building or district in the city of Ramah which housed the prophetic school Samuel led (1 Samuel 19:18-24 ). David sought refuge from Saul at Naioth. Three groups of royal messengers and finally Saul himself fell victim to prophetic frenzy when they attempted to capture David there.
