Nereus
Holman Bible Dictionary
(nee' rewss) Personal name borrowed from Greek mythology where Nereus is the sea god who fathers the Nereids (sea nymphs). The New Testament Nereus was a Roman Christian, possibly the son of Philogus and Julia (Romans 16:15 ).
