Nurture

Holman Bible Dictionary

KJV translation (Ephesians 6:4 ) of the Greek paideia (disciple, instruction). The noun occurs elsewhere in the Pauline corpus but once ( 2 Timothy 3:16 ) which relates that all Scripture is profitable for “instruction (paideia ) in righteousness.” To rear children “in the nurture and admonition of the Lord” is to discipline and correct them as the Lord would.
