Orion
Holman Bible Dictionary
(oh ri' uhn) Constellation bearing the name of a giant Greek hunter who, according to myth, was bound and placed in the heavens. Job 38:31 perhaps alludes to this myth. God is consistently portrayed as the creator of the Orion constellation ( Job 9:9; Amos 5:8 ). The plural of the Hebrew term for Orion is rendered constellations at Isaiah 13:10 .
