Peddler
Holman Bible Dictionary
One who sells goods, usually on the street or door-to-door. Paul denied being a peddler of God's word (2 Corinthians 2:17 ). Here Paul either emphasized that he did not preach for pay (1Corinthians 9:12,1 Corinthians 9:15 ) or that he did not use tricks to gain converts (2 Corinthians 4:2; 2 Corinthians 12:16 ).
