Holman Bible Dictionary
(pee' loh nite) Resident of Pelon, an unknown site. The title belongs to two of David's 30 elite warriors (1 Chronicles 11:27 , 1 Chronicles 11:36; 1 Chronicles 27:10 ). Pelonite is perhaps a textual corruption for Paltite, the title of Helez in the parallel in 2 Samuel 23:26 .
