Scurvy
Holman Bible Dictionary
A disease of the gums resulting in loosening of and/or loss of teeth. KJV translation of Hebrew term for festering eruption (Leviticus 21:20; Leviticus 22:22 ), but in Deuteronomy 28:27 KJV used, “scab,” while only there did RSV use “scurvy.” NIV used, “festering sores.” NAS used, “eczema.”
