Holman Bible Dictionary
(ssuh cay' cuh) Place name meaning, “covered.” Town in tribal territory of Judah in the Judean wilderness (Joshua 15:61 ). It is modern khirbet es-Samrah in the central Buqeia. Some would equate it with the site of Qumran.
