Seleucia
Holman Bible Dictionary
(ssih lew' cih uh) Syrian city on Mediterranean coast five miles north of the Orontes River and fifteen miles from Antioch. Paul stopped there on his first missionary journey (Acts 13:4 ). It was founded by Seleucus Nicator, the first Seleucid king, in 301 B.C. See Seleucids .
