Shaalbim
Holman Bible Dictionary
(ssha al' bim) Place name meaning, “place of foxes.” Spelled and interpreted differently in different texts and early Greek versions. See Judges 1:35 ). Part of Solomon's second district for supplying provisions for the royal household (1 Kings 4:9 ). Its location is probably modern Selbit seven miles southeast of Lydda and three miles northwest of Ajalon. David's military hero Eliahba came from Shaalbim (2 Samuel 23:32 ).
