Holman Bible Dictionary
(ssheh' byoo ehl) Personal name meaning, “Return, O God.” 1. Grandson of Moses and head of a clan of Levites (1 Chronicles 23:16; 1 Chronicles 26:24; sometimes equated with Shubael of 1 Chronicles 24:20 ). 2 . Levite, son of Heman (1 Chronicles 25:4 ); apparently the same as Shubael (1 Chronicles 25:20 ).
